How to make wooden rings otherwise known as bentwood rings without fancy tools! All you need is some veneer, a knife, CA glue (super glue/Krazy glue) and some sandpaper. These rings get their strength from the layers of veneer and glue. Because they are layered they are much stronger than a ring turned on a lathe with a hold drilled out. Anybody can make these rings as they are super easy and quick to produce. My wife and I wear these as our wedding rings. Since they are made of wood they will need some care and refinishing once in a while. In this example, I’m using Sapele and maple as I like the contrast of the two woods.
